Manning
& Crouch was established in 1995 by Thomas
C. Manning, following an eighteen-year career
as a federal judicial law clerk, federal prosecutor,
and partner specializing in criminal defense practice
in a prominent general practice firm.
James
A. Crouch joined Manning in 1997 after serving
as trial counsel for several years with North Carolina
Prisoner Legal Services. Manning & Crouch was
formed with the express purpose of limiting its
practice to criminal defense matters in North Carolina
and United States District Courts in North Carolina.

Ryan Willis became associated with Manning &
Crouch in 2006 after four years' service as an Assistant
District Attorney with the Wake County District
Attorney's Office.
Our
firm's practice is limited to criminal defense matters,
handling criminal trial matters in all State and
Federal Courts, in matters ranging from complex
federal grand jury investigations and trial matters
in white-collar, controlled substance, and criminal
environmental prosecutions, to homicide and other
violent felonies, fraud and other economic crimes,
to the trial and handling of Driving While Impaired,
revoked license matters and other general traffic-related
misdemeanors and felonies.
Our
attorneys are admitted to practice in North Carolina
courts, the United States District Courts for the
Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of North Carolina,
the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth
Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Law Specialization Examiner for the State Bar, and

Delegate to the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference
since 1982.
